Vision and Mission of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering

            To impart quality education to the learners in the field of electronics and communication engineering so as to generate socially conscious engineers with professional skills and knowledge embedded with ethics and values to face the global challenges.

  • To provide good teaching with qualified, committed faculty and well equipped laboratories to meet global standards in the field of electronics and communication engineering.
  • To provide holistic integrated education, to inculcate self discipline, accountability and values among students and prepare them for jobs and research in electronics industry.
  • To achieve over all development in students by imparting scientific, technical, social, cognitive, managerial and organizational skills.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)


To provide the graduates with solid foundation in Electronics and Communication Engineering along with the fundamentals of Mathematics, Science, Computing and Engineering with the a view to impart in them high quality technical skills like designing, modelling, analyzing and problem-solving with global.


To prepare the graduates for higher education by providing training to excel in competitive examinations and to improve their technical and intellectual capabilities for life-long learning process.


Graduates should succeed with effective communicative skills and work efficiency in electronics, communication, computational or manufacturing firms with a sense of social responsibility.


To train in graduates to have basic interpersonal skills and sense of social responsibility that paves them a way to become good team members and leaders.

Programme Outcomes (POs)


Engineering knowledge: apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

Problem analysis: identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural science and engineering sciences.


Conduct investigations of complex problems: use research based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.


Modern tool usage: create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.


The engineer and society: apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.


Environment sustainability: understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in the societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

Professional Skills:

To understand the basic concepts of Electronics & Communication Engineering and to apply them to various areas, like Electronics, Communications, VLSI, Embedded systems to arrive cost effective and appropriate solutions.


Problem-solving skills:

To be equipped with the principles of Semiconductor Devices, Digital Systems, Microprocessor and Signal processing for the fields of Consumer Electronics, Medical, Defense and Spacecraft Electronics industry.


Successful career: 

To be successful in professional career by using latest hardware and software tools like  VHDL, MATLAB, MULTISIM, MENTOR GRAPHICS along with analytical skills to  work in core industries.


Exposure for research and development:

To analyze latest trends in Electronics and Communication and apply the knowledge for the improvement in the present technology by doing research through higher education.
